MacMillan Rooke Boeckle prides itself in being a small firm of exceptional lawyers.
Our focus is Insurance Litigation and we follow a simple philosophy – to provide our clients with the best legal representation available by continuously striving to be leaders in our field.
The foundation of our success is our trial and appellate court experience. Our lawyers have been involved in dozens of trials including some of the longest and most complex trials in Canadian civil litigation history.
MacMillan Rooke Boeckle operates in partnership with Will Barristers and together we have 15 lawyers operating out of offices in downtown Toronto, Oakville, Huntsville, Midland and Lindsay. As a result, we are able to represent clients throughout Ontario.
Firm History
The firm was founded in 1921 by the Hon. E.A. Richardson, Q.C. In 1952, Charles MacMillan joined the firm and would go on to become one of Ontario’s leading litigators in the field of Insurance Law.
By the 1960’s the firm was known as MacMillan Rooke and would eventually become MacMillan Rooke Boeckle under the leadership of Peter Boeckle who has been practicing insurance litigation with the firm for over 35 years.
Over the years our lawyers have included three Superior Court judges, a former Attorney General for Ontario and numerous distinguished civil litigators.
More recently, MacMillan Rooke Boeckle once again distinguished itself by representing the Canadian Red Cross Society in several high profile cases involving tainted blood. These cases involved a number of lengthy and complex trials and were ultimately argued before the Supreme Court of Canada.
Today, our team of young and energetic litigators are better positioned than ever before to provide the finest legal services to both new and existing clients.
