Allyson A. Webster, B. Sc., M. B. A., LL.B.
Allyson Webster is a partner and joined MRB three years after articling and practicing largely in the area of medical malpractice and insurance defence work with the firm of Gilbert, McGloan, Gillis in Saint John, New Brunswick.
In addition to her law degree from the University of New Brunswick, Allyson holds a Bachelor of Science from Mount Allison University and a Master of Business Adminstration from Long Island University.
Allyson spent her first four years at MRB, working as a member of a specialized defence team for the HIV litigation in Ontario. A highlight of this litigation was her participation in a year long trial and subsequent appeal. Upon completion of that litigation Allyson has continued to practice insurance defence work and has experience with all steps in the conduct of litigation. Allyson has experience at all levels of the court in Ontario and New Brunswick. Most recently in the last few years she has also focused on training and practicing as a mediator. She was accepted as a mediator for the Ontario Mandatory Mediation Program when that programme was still in place. Allyson feels her experience as a mediator has complimented the management and resolution of litigation matters in her insurance defence practice.
